Workshops
  1. TCBR – Reasoning with Text is on CBR for situations where experiences are predominantly captured in text form. The workshop includes hybrid approaches (such as Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction, and Text Mining).
Chairs: Nirmalie Wiratunga and Luc Lamontagne
    Workshop papers

  2. CBR in the Health Sciences will explore new directions of CBR applications in health sciences, including CBR integration, synergies between CBR and knowledge discovery, enabling home health care technologies, and bioinformatics applications.
Chairs: Isabelle Bichindaritz and Stefania Montani
    Workshop papers

  3. Uncertainty and Fuzziness in Case-Based Reasoning is on formalizing parts of the CBR methodology within different frameworks of reasoning under uncertainty, and in building hybrid approaches by combining CBR with methods of uncertain and approximate reasoning like fuzzy set theory, probabilistic and Bayesian methods, possibility theory, evidence theory, rough set theory, and information theory.
Chairs: Eyke Hüllermeier, Michael M. Richter, and Rosina Weber
    Workshop papers

  4. CBR and Context-Awareness deals with context awareness in CBR and context-based reasoning, including contextual factors like physical characteristics of the task environment, but also the knowledge states (both of the application and the user), emotions, etc. for adaptation, indexing, similarity, situation assessment, prediction of solution applicability, and in different context models, changing contexts, in evaluating and explaining contextual elements.
Chairs: Steven Bogaerts, Sven Schwarz, and Stefan Schulz
    Workshop papers
