-------------------------------------------------------------------

We are inviting you to present an application of Case-Based
Reasoning at the Industry Day of the 8th European Conference on
Case-Based Reasoning.

ECCBR 2006 will be held in Ölüdeniz/Fethiye, Turkey, from September
4-7, 2006 (http://2006.eccbr.org/). This scientific conference will
involve invited talks, presentations, and posters on fundamental
research in and applications of CBR. The first day of the ECCBR
(September 4, 2006) is devoted to an "industry day."  While the
three-day scientific part of the ECCBR 2006 is devoted to research
in CBR, the Industry day aims at bringing together users of CBR
technology to exchange their experience with each other and with
potential users who want to evaluate the applicability of CBR in
their company. The industry day facilitates the exchange of
hands-on experience on how to develop and utilize CBR in cutting
edge applications for help-desks, e-business, diagnostics and other
knowledge management applications.

At this time, we are soliciting presentations about successfully
deployed industrial applications of Case-Based Reasoning to be
delivered during the industry day. The application should be
deployed and, ideally, feedback from users and business should be
available. The presentation should contain an introduction to the
company, the problem statement/business objectives, implementation-
design choices, resulting application with walk-through,
organizational impact, user feedback and results/business benefits,
next steps and a potential demo. Presentations from CBR software
vendors should focus on applications of CBR, not the tool used.
Presentations by the customers of CBR vendors are highly encouraged.

Colleagues interested in giving a presentation need to submit a one
page description of their application by email to William Cheetham and
Kareem Aggour no later than May 15th, 2006. The program committee will
review the proposals and notify the presenters by May 30th, 2006.
For applications accepted for presentation at the industry day, the
speaker is expected to deliver a set of PowerPoint slides for a 30
minute talk to the program committee no later than July 4th, 2006. No
formal paper is required.
